"The Big Tent Revival"
May 19 PM. Bethany's Children's Choir gave an energetic and colorful presentation of "The Big Tent Revival" Sunday evening under the direction of Karen Hatfield and Amanda Storey. We truly have a talented collection of children and leaders; and the Gospel came through 'loud and clear.'

Joe Rogers
April 28 AM. Citing personal examples, Joe Rogers challenged Bethany to stretch our faith through prayer, asking God each day to bring someone into our lives with whom we can share share Christ or bring encouragement. He encouraged us to take the largest step of faith we can handle and the stretch it just a little, believing, because God says He will answer.
Joe is a representative of OMS International an evangelical faith mission. Joe, and his wife Marilyn are the parents of Don Rogers, founder of Empowering Lives International.

Psalm 71 Night
April 14 PM. "Let the Redeemed of the Lord say so, shout so, sing so and act so" was the theme for Psalm 71 Night featuring vocal and instrumental music, drama and poetry. There was a good turnout for the 1 1/2 hour program wherein 32 congregational members shared about the work of our Savior, Jesus Christ through the medium of the performing arts with a near professional quality. The age of the participants on stage ranged from Chelsea Hatfield at 6 years old to Gordon Blenkhorn at a spry 87 years. In the words of one Behtnay member, the ministry of the evening "blessed his socks off." Cassette tapes can be purchased, enabling all to re-live the evening's memorable activities, from Irene Kautto's humorous Missions' Moment to Dave Blenkhorn's passionate retelling of "The Rag Man."

Dr. Vince Morris
May 26 AM. Vince Morris brought the message "The Magnificant Mercy of God" using Ephesians 2:1-10 as his text.
Dr. Morris is a graduate of Westmont College. Other degrees include:
  • Masters at Dallas Theological Seminary
  • Masters in Counselling, Arizona State
  • Doctor in Higher Education Administration, Arizona State
He was a pastor for 10 years, and an administrator & faculty member at Biola University for 25 years.
He has been married to Florence for 54 years.
They have four children and seven grandchildren. They attend the Alpha & Omega Sunday School class.
Dr. Gordon Dalbey
Dr Gordon Dalbey
April 28 PM. Dr. Gordon Dalbey, pioneer of the Christian Men's movement, spoke to both men and women (sons and daughters of the Father) in the evening service. Dr. Dalbey was the guest speaker at the men's retreat at Verdugo Pines. 71 men attended.
Dr. Dalbey is author of Healing the Masculine Soul, Fight Like a Man, and Sons of the Father. His books are available on his web site at abbafather.com.

Celebrates The Week of the Young Child
Bethany Christian Preschool
April 21 PM. BCP Staff and parents gathered at Bethany's Sunday evening service to hear the children enthusiastically sing and recite scripture verses. It was the culmination of their paricipation in the 2002 Week of the Young Child. Grace Shaver is BCP Director.
