Ground
Breaking - March 2, 2003 |

March
2, 2003. About 250 people assembled after the second service
to celebrate the ground-breaking for our new multi-purpose
building. Current and past deacons lined up on recently
cleared ground from which the new structure will rise.
Dave Long, current chairman of Deacons invited us to imagine
all the ministry activities to soon take place on the site.
He then led in prayer and turned the first shovel of dirt.
Former Deacon chairman Jerry Popovich then took a turn,
followed by members of the building committee, Lance Meyer,
Business Administrator for the church.
Many
remained for a potluck lunch with chicken provided by the
church. |
